Recently, the Protective part maker Polytronics Expertise (PTTC) saw February consolidated revenues decline by 16.2% sequentially to NT$98 million (US$3.34 million), but the company indicated that it's begun shipping parts used in laptop batteries, which contributed modestly to February results.
It is also believed that PTTC's disc-type polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) parts have entered the supply chain for Korea-based laptop makers, although shipment volume is comparatively little at present, according to industry sources.With its PPTC devices continuing to strengthen its presence in the smartphone sector, PTTC now targets to push sales of its battery-use protective parts in to the tablet PC segment in 2011, with the industry sources indicating that PTTC's devices have been verified by HTC and Samsung Electronics.
The expects of PTTC its March revenues to rebound to the levels recorded in January but indicated that order visibility for the second quarter is still not clear.At the same time,the fellow company Holy Stone saw its consolidated revenues slide 29.2% dell inspiron 1525 battery sequentially to NT$975 million in February.
